I’m always fascinated by the kind of lateral thinkers who can take an object that has had one purpose, and say “Ah, but it could be a…!”
I take my hat off to them. (My hat is, incidentally, repurposed from a tea cosy.)
Recycling, upcycling, restoring, refinishing, repurposing, reinventing, or simply being thrifty – call it what you will, it’s a skill to be celebrated these days and we’re all for it here on Felt.
I went on a quick tour of the listings, and found creations (or recreations) enjoying glorious and stylish second lives in just about all the categories you’ll find on Felt. There’s furniture, clothing, accessories, toys and stationery, just to name a few. Just try keyword searching “recycled” or any other variation on the theme, and you’ll soon see what I mean.
Vive la recycling revolution, I say! May it give old objects new purpose, and clever crafters endless enjoyment.
