Felt is super proud once again to support Handmade. This amazing event gets better every year, and in 2014 they’re stepping it up with a new venue: this Queen’s Birthday weekend, Wellington’s TSB Arena will be abuzz with classes, workshops, lectures and displays celebrating the finest of New Zealand handmade. And guess what? We’ve got tickets that could be yours!
We’re giving away a weekend pass to Handmade 2014, worth $299! You get to attend up to seven classes or workshops of your choice, plus a Handmade goodie bag and a complimentary ticket to the Meet the Makers party. Sound awesome? I reckon! Here’s how you enter:
Option A: Pinterest board
Create a showcase of your favourite items from Felt on Pinterest.
Step 1: Log in to Pinterest and create your board. It could be called “Handmade in New Zealand” or “Felt like Kiwi handmade” or whatever creative name you can concoct.
Step 2: Head to Felt and fill the board with your favourite items using the “Pin it” button on each listing.
Step 3: Once your board is complete, click the “send board” button at the top, add your name, email address and phone number into the message field (that’s very important!), and send it to handmade2014@felt.co.nz by Tuesday 12 May.
Option B: Felt showcase
Create a Felt showcase of your favourite items.
Step 1: Log in to Felt, seek out your favourite listings and click “add to showcase” to include them in your collection.
Step 2: Once your showcase is complete, click the “email to a friend” link on the right, add your name, email address and phone number into the message field, and send it to handmade2014@felt.co.nz by Tuesday 12 May.
The rules
You must include at least 12 items in your showcase or board. Items must be found on Felt. Entries will be judged on the aesthetic appeal of the collection and the variety of sellers or skills represented. You may want to consider a theme or story for your collection: it might be a colour palette, a season, your favourite song lyric – the world is your oyster!
Entries close at midnight on Tuesday 12 May. Class choices are subject to availability. Flights and accommodation are not included in the prize – you will need to be in Wellington from 30 May to 1 June to make full use of your ticket.
