Christchurch graphic designer Mark Catley is into colours (and that’s including black and white). His designs are in part influenced by the city around him, drawing inspiration from the shapes and patterns of the post-quake urban landscape. Having worked under the name Trash Design for the last year, Mark is now taking an eponymous approach to his brand. So in the words of the man himself, it’s goodbye to Trash Design and HELLOOOO to Mark Catley Design!
Every time Liora Saad and her sister called or wrote to each other, they’d use the same sign off: “Toodles Noodles!” This cheery salute became the name and set the tone for Liora’s stationery, which is all about sharing the joy of communication.
Wellington jewellery designer Roseanne Ward’s enthusiasm for what she does is infectious. “I’ve been manufacturing for fourteen years and I love it! I make my own jewellery from home and sell throughout the country in galleries and stores as well as on Felt. A new avenue that I’ve just started is teaching people to make. I’m loving passing on my skills and knowledge and watching students of all ages light up as they complete their first piece of jewellery.”
