WOW!

Here at Felt HQ we are all a-buzz with the news that Tatyanna Meharry (also known as The Busy Finch) and her sister Natasha Meharry were the Supreme Winners of this year’s World of Wearable Art show with their stunning ceramic piece The Exchange.

The Exchange has amazing stage presence and the many, many little suspended ceramic pieces that make it up made a beautiful, slightly eerie noise as the models moved. Congratulations Tatyanna and Natasha, you guys are amazing!

And that’s not all when it comes to Felt talent at WOW this year. Our very own Jo took a few days off from the Felt support desk last week to head up to Wellington with her partner Sebastian (also known as Hand Cast Pewter) to scoop up second prize in the “Man Unleashed” category for their entry Psychedoubleic. The piece was inspired by 60s psychedelia and the idea of the “Push-me-pull-you.” Hats off to the model, who managed to turn cartwheels down the catwalk on his huge round feet!
