Blue Glasshouse on stilts

This freestanding sculptural piece, in glass, oak, copper and lead, is a one-off artwork. It is made using traditional Tiffany techniques with a contemporary twist. The glass is a mixture of vintage window glass and new and will have natural imperfections.

It will produce refractions and shadows in natural or artificial light. It is best displayed indoors.

My sculptures are celebrations of my materials and I always marvel at the beauty of the refractions and shadows they produce. For me they are also expressions of my thoughts and concerns.

Please note that the solder contains lead and, while the risk is minimal, it is wise to wash your hands after handling and keep the piece away from very young children.

Shipping costs listed are estimates. I custom-make packaging for my pieces and then discuss the best option with the purchaser. As with my materials, where possible, packaging materials are natural, recycled or re-used.
