Embracing the slow art of ceramics

Ōtautahi potter Meg Roulston was drawn to pottery at a young age, watching her dad at his wheel in the garage, attending pit firings, and visiting potters' studios in Nelson, where she grew up. As an adult she has returned to her long held dream of working with clay, and finds joy in honing her throwing skills, learning everything about making her own glazes, and sipping her first morning coffee from a mug of her own making. Her small batch ceramics are influenced by her coastal Southshore environment, nestled between the estuary and sea.
