Trivet / Heat Mat Hand-Printed Piwakawaka

These trivets are individually printed by hand in my art studio in Canterbury using a hand-carved printing block which is then inked and carefully run through a manual printing press to ensure a faithful transfer of the original carved design.

About Cork:

- Cork is heat resistant, water resistant, antimicrobial and anti-slip
- The cork tree is the only species whose bark regenerates itself after each harvest. The bark of each cork tree can be sustainably harvested every 9 years.


Due to the nature of hand printing there may be subtle variations in each mat. This is part of the character and charm of hand printed products which you don’t get with mass produced products printed by machine.
