I love sewing. This main interest of mine started when I was 9 years old and Mum and Dad bought me a sewing machine for Christmas I have made clothes and crafty thing for my kids and also for the kindergarten and school fairs, then for the grandies and now the great grandies.
These days it includes the markets. Love the atmosphere and the personal complements from the buyers and browsers.
I purchased an embroidery machine a few years ago so these days making embroidered products is what I love doing. I thoroughly enjoy working with fabrics and colours. My main sellers are the storybook cushions and kid’s quilts. Others are peg aprons, calico shopping bags, children’s crossover bags, in fact anything that can have an embroidery design on it gets one.
I have an amazing husband who cooks the dinner and tidies the house while I am busy doing orders. I have had him for 60 years, (we were VERY young teenagers when we married), and he is definitely a keeper.
My sewing area looks out onto the Pacific Ocean so I am spoilt for the gorgeous view of the sea, and of Whakaari and Whale Islands. I definitely do get distracted at times.
I can be found at the Ohope Craft Market on Saturdays where I have a permanent stall in the hall. You will find me just inside the front doors on the right hand side against the wall. I will be doing the weekly Whakatane Sunday markets over the summer months and I also attend the Awakaponga twilight market. Come on over and say Hi.
I have a Lay By for my shop and also the markets. Basically it it a 25% deposit on the purchase and 25% of the balance to be paid over the following 6 weeks. This can be paid weekly or fortnightly but we can discuss the amount and time needed. I am very flexible with the lay by time and the amount to be paid. Please message me if you wish to use this option.

I have recently sold a lot of these cushions through the markets and private purchases. so some now need pics updating as I need to change the sold out printed Fabrics. All the emb designs are available but will have a different top which I will put up as soon as they are made.
