I am a botanical dyer and Earth artist who seeks colour from nature's pallet by collaborating with Papatūānuku, Mother Earth. My art and alchemy work with nature, not against it, when I work with natural dyes there are no expectations only the surrender that connecting with nature can create something.

Every step is slow-crafted by hand in my studio, where my botanical palettes are hand-mixed from sustainably sourced, organically, homegrown, and locally foraged plant materials from flowers, roots, foliage, nuts, food waste, to wood. Plant-based dyes create stunning colours that shift, change, and come alive in natural sunlight. This ancient, slow craft creates a stunning depth of natural colour unachievable with synthetic chemicals.

My botanically hand dyed art and natural fabrics are inspired by, and infused with nature,
nature is perfectly imperfect and unpredictable with no two dye baths the same. As the botanical dye interacts with the fabric, unique markings and colour variations occur—a process just like nature itself, which should be celebrated. This makes each a slow-crafted, individual piece of art.

I believe we all have a responsibility to live our lives as sustainably as possible.
I bring sustainability into every corner of my business, from the materials I use to the way I package our items sustainability is at the wairua of what I do.
