Hi! I'm Karla, a mumma of two and the owner/maker behind this small New Zealand based business.

My doll making journey begun in 2014, it just started out as making for my family but soon after turned into the small business I have today. In late 2017 I decided I needed a name change to better reflect my Brand and thus 'Fiveplus5' became 'Tulle & Heart'

What is my vision for Tulle & Heart? It's quite a simple one really, in that I just want to create dolls that little people can play with, love and cherish. In a world where so much is mass produced, I think it becomes extra special when someone is gifted a Handmade item, something that thousands of children don't already have, something unique just like they are.

I'm a self taught sewer, I did dabble a bit when I was younger (although to be honest I forgot most of it..)
The first doll I made was actually for my son - I loved watching his nurturing side shine through in his play which is why alongside our 'Mini Miss Dolls' I also create a our 'Mini Mister Dolls'. I believe dolls shouldn't just be reserved for girls. Boys love them too!
