Protecting our critters one artwork at a time.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
I'm a wildlife artist protecting our critters one artwork at a time.
I live and have my studio on Hinewai Reserve, Banks Peninsula, a 1500-hectare wildlife reserve where I find the critters and creatures we share the world with offer me endless inspiration with their colour, character, behavior and beauty.
I love working in graphite, layering to gain character in my artworks.
My vision is to protect our critters one drawing at a time. I aim to make art that shares my passion of the natural world, that helps others learn about and enjoy the critters we share the earth with.
I begin by observing the critters, photographing them and studying details such as the curved beak of NZ's smallest bird, the Rifleman, and how the armourlike exoskeleton of the weta overlays one section on the next.
My formal study was in Expressive Arts and Marketing, while I am eternally grateful to the many creatives who have shared their knowledge to improve my skills.
I hope you enjoy the critters I have chosen to represent as much as I have enjoyed creating them for you.
