My name is Abbie Pickrill. By day I am a freelance graphic designer and stay at home Mum but in the evenings and weekends I am a CRAFTER.

My Mum and Nana taught me to cross stitch when I was just eight years old, but I turned my back on the craft at age 13 when I deemed it ‘uncool’.

Years later I came across ‘Subversive Cross Stitch’ by Julie Jackson, a book packed full of great designs I actually wanted to have hanging on my walls, so I began stitching again.

When I ran out of designs but still had the desire to craft, I decided to create my own patterns and Stitchology was born. Space Invaders was my first pattern followed closely by Tetris and then more designs.

As well as stitching I also enjoy fabric screen printing, making fascinators and getting together with my Stitch n Bitch friends.

In 2010 my friend Juliet and I started The Craft Collective Market which we currently hold twice a year.
