I'm a German-English translator by day, but in my spare time I like knitting socks using German knitting wool "Opal" with its automatic patterns and bright colours. I recently developed a habit of making little coin purses out of leftover sock wool. They are excellent for keeping a little parking meter money in your car "incognito", as the coins won't attract thieves, and they won't rattle or roll onto the floor when you navigate corners.
