Kia Ora - greetings from the Kapiti Coast.

My name is Carol Weekley and I am a jewellery designer working from my Silverpoint Studio located in Waikanae and close to the captivating, inspiring and predator-free nature reserve - Kapiti Island.

I have been making jewellery and small framed pieces since a long time back when I gained a BA in Visual Arts from Sydney College of the Arts at University of Sydney.

Over the years I have tried various art mediums but always come back to the small format of jewellery.
I like experimentation with texture, colour and materials and am inclined to change direction often. The result is a variety of styles assembling elements from my collection of metal, dried and pressed flora, computer and watch parts, interesting found and retrieved pieces from the world around me.

Polymer clay has become a favourite material of choice utilised in many of my designs and much of my experimentation. Polymer clay is recognized internationally as an exciting new art material as it has a mouldable consistency & malleability that lends itself to many shapes and painterly mixes of colour.
