Originating in 2010, Amanda Flowerday began to use precious vintage and retro textiles, handed down from her Nana Belle. She believed that such gorgeous fabric designs, colours and textures deserved to be refashioned. Amanda's refreshing range of door stops were soon in demand.

In merging creativity with functionality, Amanda has continued with her refreshing and refashioning theme. Using super fine and light weight New Zealand merino, she developed her own version of the traditional Shrug as well as the Loop Scarf (or Snood).

Share in Amanda's love of craft, addiction to gorgeous textiles and inspiration which ultimately lead to the development of... SAMWELL by amanda flowerday and now the launch of a website www.samwell.co.nz.

Amanda wishes to acknowledge her Nana Belle Butel and Nana Anne Evans, both of whom were Tailoresses. She would also like to thank her loyal customers to date.
