"Someone, I tell you, in another time will remember us" ~ Sappho

Kia ora, I am Rebekah, a watercolour artist living in the small town of Waihi. You can usually find me walking the local bush tracks or working on something creative.

My first adventure with watercolour was at the age of 10 when I created a small book about a strange creature who lived in a rubbish dump. I rediscovered the medium in recent years and love working with the flow of the paint even though it often has a mind of its own!

My favourite paintings are the ones that have a creative twist to them - usually thought up in the middle of the night! All of my paintings incude a little piece of New Zealand, from the Princess and the Poi to the classic jandal and bread tag fix-it job.

I started out as an artist by painting portraits and get so much enjoyment from them. There is something very special about creating a personal artwork that means so much to the recipient.

I love being a part of Felt, it showcases so much amazing NZ talent and gives great support to its sellers.
