I'm Katherine, the creator behind Being Rekhast, based in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
I believe we are each being recast, slowly, constantly, being made new moment by moment, choice by choice. It's time to welcome back our outcast pieces and to recognise the beauty that we already hold within us.

My creations come from my heart, moving out of my soul space through my hands.
My goal is to make things to help support you in doing this work consciously and deliberately, to encourage you to remember yourself home and become the fullest version of yourself.


I've been making and crafting and creating ever since I can remember. If you needed the scissors or cellotape in my childhood home, you came looking for me - I was always using them. Later I moved into working with fabric and a sewing machine, and more recently back into paper and ink.
