To bring joy into others lives through art is my heart's desire.

Born and raised in Auckland New Zealand, I am an artist inspired by life...our relationships with each other and with the world around us.

I live on the North Shore with my loving husband, our fabulous teenage son, and our adorable fur-baby Toby, a wee character of a dog who loves blues music and sings along to it with his heart and soul. He is a constant source of inspiration!.

My love affair with drawing and painting birds and animals goes right back to early childhood. I spent hours studying the way they moved, how they looked on different angles, and hours drawing those images from my memory onto paper. I did the same with people too, enabling me to create characters from my imagination, a great tool to have in the creative box!

I am perpetually driven towards exploration of various themes through a multitude of mediums and love to experiment with new ideas and concepts. Yet in contradiction to that I am also enthusiastic about many traditional ways of creating art.

From 2000 until 2014 my husband and I had a small business consisting of two boutique retail stores selling women,s fashion, footwear and accessories. One of the many clothing ranges we carried was my own designs made here in NZ. Buying fabric for my range was always exciting for me, so many gorgeous prints and textures!! And I kept all the remnants....you'll see them pop up in my artwork occasionally along with beads, buttons, trims, bling and stunning paper prints that I've been collecting for some time ( see my other Felt shop, SCISSORHANDS )
