I am originally from the UK. I came to visit friends in New Zealand in 2005 and have been here ever since!
Growing up there were many things I wanted to be, these included a pilot, a lawyer, an actress and a writer. I wrote poems and other short stories when I was a teenager, before putting the pen and paper down to discover the world.
In 2009 I was asked to be Godmother to a friends daughter, this provided the inspiration needed to start writing again. My first book 'Missy's Dog Wash' was published in April 2010.
I am passionate about encouraging children to read from an early age as this will enable them to reach for their own goals.
I am a member of the Wellington Children’s Book Association, The Education Network and Blue Dingo; a networking and promotions resource for the Aus/NZ book industry.
I believe St Augustine when he said "the world is a book and those that don't travel read only a page"
