Meys Made is my little Kiwi owned crochet business that caters for children aged 0 – 6 years old. All of the colourful and modern crochet items are handmade by me, right here in sunny Blenheim, New Zealand.

All of my hats feature my signature Meys Made wooden button over which you can place an interchangeable flower (or leave it off completely for boys). My items are made from your choice of acrylic or pure wool yarns. They are crocheted in a way that will allow for a decent amount of growth. I know how fast our little people can grow and I aim to accommodate that.

If the style, size or colour you desire is not listed in my shop then simply let me know. I am happy to accommodate any financial arrangements you might need so please don’t hesitate to ask.

My business was born not long after I had my first daughter in 2011. I saw a gorgeous crochet hat online that she had to have. I have always been into crafts and I decided to teach myself how to make that hat. I will be honest… It was a disaster. After a bit more practise however, I was soon creating a whole drawer full of colourful hats for her. My friends started requesting them. Their friends started requesting them. And so Meys Made was established in October, 2011. I now have happy customers from all over New Zealand and several countries throughout the world.

My name is Sarah, and I am the work at home mum behind Meys Made. I am blessed to have a very supportive husband and two awesome girls in my team.

I am a qualified secondary school teacher, a dedicated craftaholic and a musician playing the flute and trumpet. When I am not busy working, I love to relax on a beach in the nearby Marlborough Sounds with my extended family.
