MaKeOriginal Ltd was established just after the 2010 earthquakes. We have a passion for handmade items and for the process of working with simple materials to create functional and beautiful one-off items. Our main focus is our Impilia sock yarn (85% merino and 15% nylon) that we dye using a range of techniques with chemical dyes. We also use natural dyes to produce skeins of colour captured from plants.
