I have been working with kiln fused glass for 10 years now. I am self taught through experimentation, a love for the amazing qualities of glass and my general interest in design and colour which is the main focus of my glass work.

In recent years I have moved away from larger pieces such as slumped platters, bowls and wall hung tile installations to focus on jewellery...specifically brooches. They are basically mini versions of my previous larger work. I take pride in each individual piece and am meticulous in the finishing process - the cold-working/polishing - I hope that is one of the things that sets my work apart.

I work at a 'regular' job 4 days a week and on my glass the other day during the week plus weekends/evenings...whenever I can. I have a workshop at home...home is a special place overlooking my favourite flaxes and cabbage trees with the Whangarei harbour beyond...ever changing colours and amazing sunsets.

I have been represented by a number of galleries in the North Island but am now concentrating on my home area and the FELT website which I love and am really excited to be a part of!
