Hi! I’m Mandy Hanik a designer & screen printer based in the Great Lake Taupo.

After finishing my Fine Arts Degree at Elam, I came to Taupo to play in the snow, connect with amazing people & unleash my creative inner beast.

I draw my inspiration from where my studio space sits on Hinemoa Ave & our local imagery that we are surrounded by to unite my designs - hence Hinemoa Designs was born.

I create my own designs, then transfer my negative onto a light sensitive screen to expose in my darkroom. I’m then left with my washed out image ready to screen print by hand.

I enjoy the hand made process. It makes no two prints the same - so when you pick up a piece it has got its own unique & characteristics.
