Hi to everyone on Felt and thank you for looking at my shop.

My name is Ross Heywood and I live near Queenstown in the South Island of New Zealand with my partner Toyoko on a rural property where we have three Guinea Fowl named Johnny, Varys and Khaleesi that I absolutely love to bits and they can be viewed on my You Tube channel by the name of Ross Heywood

By day I up-cycle antiques, I find, into functional wall displays and sell them at the Queenstown market. Here on Felt I give new life to old New Zealand coins. Please enjoy.

Bellow is a bit of a blurb about my past history:

Ross was born in Invercargill New Zealand. After spending eight years in the Royal New Zealand Air Force as an electronics ( Avionic ) technician he did a bone carving course at the Wanganui Summer School of the Arts under Owen Mapp. Then after doing a jewelry apprenticeship he moved to Queenstown where he pursued a career in the arts. Initially he made his mark bone carving achieving 1st and 2nd place in his category in the 1996 Canadian Wildlife Carving Championships. In 1999 he was invited by Owen Mapp to exhibit his work in a three month exhibition in Prague Czech Republic with 11 other NZ carvers. In 2005 he had his first solo jewelry exhibition in Osaka Japan at Gallery T.K. Art.
