I was born in Hamburg, Germany, where I grew up, went to school and Uni and even completed a PhD in Physics. Although interested in this subject I was never passionate about it. Already during Uni times I happily offered family and friends to create gifts for baby showers, birthdays, weddings, and other special occasions. I used many different materials (and still do) but paper has always been my favourite. Origami with paper and "moneygami" with notes have been my passion since. There are so many wonderful ways giving money that actually resonate the occasions than giving it plain in an envelope or via bank transferred.

I've always been finicky and in particular with my creations it is important to me that all details are correct and in place. Although clearly a stereotype but German precision for folding paper or money is mandatory and comes for free with me doing it. Only when I am proud of the final result I know that the gift will leave the positive impression.

After arriving in New Zealand in 2007 and having raised two kids to an age that creates some free time, I decided to make the step and turn my hobby and passion into a business. I love every minute that my family allows me to spend on folding paper with the result that they are infected as well with my daughter folding paper in kindy showing teachers how to do it properly.
