Pastor, Derik Kotze is Roastmaster & Owner of D’S BEANS, an artisan coffee roastary in Hawkesbay.

His love of coffee is only trumped by his passion for God and the calling on his life @ Basics4Life Ministries.

As Roastmaster, Derik is not a multi-tasker. He only focus on one thing: delicious, high-quality coffee. Admittedly, he is a little obsessed. He spends his time sourcing fine quality green beans, roasting them carefully to perfection, to bring out the most exquisite characteristics in the cup.

As Pastor, he lovingly brews coffee for friends and strangers a like, and loves to share stories of the Creator of coffee, how He can change man’s destiny and influence the “aroma” of one’s life.

He is good at a few other things too, but really, he just lives and breathes fine quality coffee.

Oh, and he likes to drink it too :-)!
