I enjoy being able to throw pots on my pottery wheel, I usually make domestic pottery mostly, l love that you can create something that can be used daily in the home, a vessel that can be held and used. I like turning my pottery on the wheel after I have thrown it and love to make a pot which reflects a good form as well as function. I am inspired by nature and use glazes that reflect the colours of the sky and sea and the land. Dellaspottery also creates a range of earrings inspired by Taylors Mistake Beach which is a beach on Banks Peninsula in Canterbury. I like to layer and alter the density of the sand in the clay to create unique effects like sea shells, the earrings have sterling silver fittings and each pair is unique art piece.
