This all started many years ago as a child, when my beloved Grandmother decided to teach me how to sew, knit, bake, you name it. I had an instant affinity for sewing. In my third year of High School I was awarded the second highest grade in New Zealand in Textiles, and after the conclusion of my High School years, I continued my fashion education at University, completing a Degree in Fashion Design at AUT (Majoring in Costume Design).

After graduating came the brides! For more than a decade I worked with brides on a daily basis, fitting their dresses, making their hair pieces and ring pillows, sashes, beading and appliquéing their gowns for days on end. Fitting and altering Bridesmaids dresses, Flower Girl's outfits, Mother's of the Bride and Groom. Styling bridal parties, wedding colour schemes. Brides would come from across the globe, and all around New Zealand to see me.

This brings us to the present day. Spending hours upon hours creating Bridal Hair Pieces and Accessories in my home studio, is my favourite thing to do! Using only the finest of materials, gathered from all across the globe, Blossom Road pieces are true heirloom quality pieces that will last for generations, made by a Designer and Artisan with years of experience and expertise in all things Wedding.
