Angelique is a self taught artist born in Switzerland who grew up in New Zealand and is now based in the Kapiti Coast with her three children and her dog.

She discovered a passion for art at a young age and started exhibiting from 17 years as part of a group show in a Christchurch Gallery.

Since then her artworks have been exhibited in a range of solo and group shows in galleries, cafes and shops across New Zealand and Australia as well as gracing private collections across New Zealand, Australia and Europe.

She has completed a range of commissioned works including several large scale murals in private homes as well as more public spaces. Restaurant signage and menu boards and billboards. Her work has also been used as a cover for a book published in 2013 as well as illustrations for a childrens book currently in the submission process.

Her works range from emotive portraits to bold abstract figure studies to eerie contemporary surrealism, mingled in with a recent foray into a more nature themed series.

Currently working in a gallery during the week, she spends her time raising her children, trying out new painting styles and generally trying to keep on top of the chaos that is life.
