I've always been a creative person, however, it's taken a little while to build up the courage to really take the plunge and deep dive into making a career of it. I went on a mission trip to Kenya a few years ago and was so inspired by the colours, textures and richness of the jewellery design and fabrics I encountered there. This inspired me to create something of my own which draws on the dynamic colours and culture that Africa has to offer. I've lived in New Zealand for 20 years now, it is home, although I originally hail from sunny and windy Cape Town, South Africa.

Some aspects also reflect a bit of Maori fusion. This comes from the influence of my husband, who is Maori. Really looking forward to sharing more of what we come up with over the coming months.

I enjoy creating all kinds of things, from statement jewellery made predominantly from a combination of wood and fabric, to cushion covers, headbands and the like. From time to time I also enjoy painting and hope to put a few pieces up in time. I've really enjoyed this journey and want to thank you for taking the time to read and in doing so, being a little part of my story.
