Mustard leather tassel earrings, wire-wrapped, on antiqued-brass hooks

Hand-cut strips of mustard yellow leather have been wire-wrapped with non-tarnish artistic wire, and suspended from antiqued-brass coloured ear-hooks.

These leather tassel earrings each use five strips of leather, cut by hand from discarded upholstery colour samples that would have been thrown away if they were not turned into something beautiful. Leather is an amazing, versatile, and precious material; I believe in re-using and recycling it as much as possible.

The earrings measure 13.5mm from top to bottom. The leather strips are approximately 4mm wide.

The ear hooks are without nickel, so most sensitive ears should be fine wearing these earrings. The earrings come with little plastic stoppers that can be slid onto the hooks to prevent them from working their way out of your ears.
