Glass Art - Mini Fungi: Amanita muscaria (Fly Agaric Mushroom)

This gorgeous little "mushroom" is today's most recognisable fungus, and it reminds me of one of my favourite childhood cartoons, of course, The Smurfs.

With its bright orange/red cap and ivory spots and stipe, this fungus is irresistibly cute...so I have made my glass Amanita muscaria in three transparent shades including classic orange-red, electric yellow and grass green.

You can purchase a cluster of three mushrooms or single mushrooms (separate listing).

Each mushroom has a small stake attached so you can insert into soil/sand or small pebbles. Mushrooms are approximately 3cm tall (excluding stake).

These mushrooms have been handcrafted using Venetian and/or German glass, by a process called lampwork. The gills on the underside of the mushroom have been made with a specialised mold, and the rest of the mushroom has been made free-form. Each mushroom is slightly different for this reason.
