Macrocarpa Teapot Stand/Trivet - Butterfly
I made countless teapot stands /trivets as a gift for my relatives and friends.
It is functional and also decorative. So you can leave it on the table or hang it on the kitchen/living wall as a decoration.
Scrollsaw fretwork is time-consuming work. I spent more than one hour cutting the design out. Then, sanding and food-safe oil coating were applied. I let the oil coating completely dry for the second sanding and additional oil coating.
When the second coating dried thoroughly, I applied coconut oil and beeswax mixture for extra protection on both surfaces.
If you purchase it, please apply oil coating thinly when the wood looks dry and immediately wipe the coat off with a dry cloth or paper towel.
