Photo Block: Pepe Para Riki
A close-up image of a pepe para riki, or common copper butterfly, endemic to Aotearoa New Zealand. While out on a summer field trip with my local camera club, I spotted this little butterfly amongst the tussock at Nenthorn in Waitaki - once a busy goldmining town, and now a conservation area.
This is a photographic print on a wooden mount, measuring 10x15cm, with a 2.5cm depth and black edges. A stand is included (pictured) but the photo block can also be displayed freestanding.
