Swamp Matai Bowl

The wood used in this bowl is Swamp Matai. It was found in a swamp near Reporoa which was believed to have been formed from a past Taupo eruption. I was told it was about 40,000 years old when I obtained the wood and have marked it as such, but I think that it is probably a bit optimistic - but either way, it is certainly a discussion point to have with your guests as they admire this specimen piece.
Measures: Width 210 and Height 70mm

Care Instructions: Give an occasional wipe with a soft cloth and the use of a good quality furniture polish from time to time, will keep it looking as good as new.
