Autumn Sunset Zipped Tapestry Purse
Quirky and 100% unique, this tapestry clutch is looking for someone to love.
Made with satin selvedge ribbons (a locally sourced fabric waste), select sentimental bits and bobs from my sewing room scraps bin, recycled zip, and reclaimed silk.
The colour pallete is based on the Ōtautahi autumn sunsets I've had the pleasure of witnessing. Colours range through many shades of black, white, gold, yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, and green.
Constructed on a portable frame loom using recycled materials it is 20cm wide, and 11cm tall. It has a 15cm zipped mouth.
I'm not a volumetrics specialist, so the bag has instead been "stuff tested" and snuggly fits my mobile phone, debit card, lippy and keys.
It's lined with a reclaimed rust orange silk fabric, and has a twined silk wrist strap.
Wear it slung from your wrist by pushing your hand through the strap, or simply clutch it.
