Three silver birch trees are set in a bright meadow of green with some autumn shades, receding to dark hills. Bright light green stitching represents the leaves, with a hint of blue sky, while couching stitch forms the distinctive tree bark.

This is the 13th in my "Silver Birch Forest" series of fibre artworks which numbers 25 to date (see a brief description of these trees below.) There's a companion piece that's a bit smaller, in a pale wood frame. If you'd like the pair, I could re-frame it in white to match this one.

Main colours: Off-white, green, yellow and orange

Method: Stitching art—mainly long stitch, with couching, on tapestry canvas. Framed in a simple white frame with a stand, or could be hung on the wall.
Fibres: Wool - knitting and tapestry wools
Canvas: fine tapestry canvas

Frame: plain white, with wide white mat board
Size: Frame 38 x 30 cm Visible artwork 23 x 19 cm
Display: Frame has a stand attached, and a hook for wall hanging

Price includes packaging and standard tracked postage within New Zealand; courier costs extra.

Handcrafted with care by Bronwyn Angela White in a smoke-free and pet-free home.

Although some works are similar, none are identical. When you buy from "Eclectic Yarn" (or any of my shops on Felt), you know your purchase is "one of a kind", an original design, and will never be duplicated.

Silver birches' bark is white with scattered black fissures. The young twigs are typically covered in white ‘warts’, and feel rough to the touch. The bark becomes much more rugged with diamond-shaped crevices as it gets older.

This "Silver Birch Forest" artwork is #13 in a series of 25 (so far). You can read about the evolution of this series on my showcase website www.eclecticyarn.com
