Glass Art - Climbing Clematis Bouquet

This special mini bouquet contains a combination of delicate pink blooms, elegant leaves and sweet flower buds. A life-like appearance of the flowers has by adding texture to each form by the use of simple tools and meticulous application of different plant parts. Several shades of pink have been used to create each petal, creamy yellow for the stamens, the palest green for the stigma (right at the centre of the flower) and a deep, forest green for the leaves.

The flowers are larger than usual, around 25-27mm diameter, the buds are approximately 13mm long and leaves are 13-17mm long. Copper stems are 9cm long and are very malleable if you wish to arrange the flowers in a different way (refer photo 3). Please note: if you are re-shaping the stem, DO NOT handle the glass component as it may break/crack if you put any pressure on it).

All flowers are made by hand, free-form (no molds used). The lampwork technique has been used to create them, including melting Venetian glass over a super hot torch, then kiln-firing to ensure durability.
