Segmented Bowl With Pyrographed Fantail
A hand turned segmented vessel made from Kwila (dark) and Pine (light). A fantail has been pyrographed (burned) into the base on the inside the bowl. 171 individual segments are all individually cut to precise measurements and then assembled together to create the pattern and the vessel itself. This piece of art measures 190mm in diameter and stands 110mm tall; and has been finished with food safe Carnauba wax to a low sheen.
Use it as a decorative piece, for storing precious items, or even as a yarn bowl for knitting.
Care Instructions: Do not immerse in water. Give an occasional wipe with a soft cloth, and the use of a good quality furniture polish from time to time will keep it looking as good as new. As with all finely finished wooden bowls, just make sure to keep it away from water and direct sunlight and it will retain its beauty for a lifetime.
