Kamahi Earrings.
The amazing grain of this native, kamahi, are absolutely superb! Also there are a couple of borer holes left behind, but the occupants are long gone.
These earrings are 4.3cm long 2.3cm wide(at the widest point), and 6mm thick.
Finished with copper fittings and hooks, protected against oxidation with varnish.
I have sanded the timber, used an oil for the timber, made and varnished the fittings.
Found on the Okarito Beach.
