“Kakariki”.
Limited Edition of 15.
All prints are numbered, titled and signed.
Individually handprinted Linoprint using the Reduction method, with minimum 6 colour layers.
Printed on lovely white Fabriano paper 225gsm, using light-fast water-based inks.
Paper size approx 300 x 420mm
Print area approx 150 x 200mm
Reduction printing is when a block is cut into with small chisels and a layer of colour is printed on all editions. Then more is cut away, and a second colour printed on top. Repeating this process until the desired number of layers and depth is built up, by which time the block is destroyed, and the Edition is complete. Photo 4 shows both the block and the print being made.
As these are all individually handprinted, each print has very slight variations, making them even more one of a kind!
Print comes unframed, and will be posted sandwiched between stiff card.
