Big Bunny's Perpetual Spinach

Perpetual spinach is actually part of the beet family, so is more closely related to silver beet or even beetroot than true spinach. It shares spinach’s mild flavour though, without the iron-y tang that silver beet has.

Big Bunny’s perpetual spinach is open pollinated, so it may have fraternised a bit with its cousins (leading to a bit of genetic diversity) but it tastes good and is full of good winter nutrients. It grows well throughout the winter, making it an excellent source of winter greens.

It can be grown all year, but likes the cooler months best. Sow direct any time from spring to autumn, in a sunny or part-shaded spot.
