Big Bunny's Red Mizuna (Salad Green)
A cool-season Japanese and Chinese mustard green, red mizuna is a colourful brassica with a bright, mustardy, tangy flavour. An excellent addition to salads and mesclun mixes, it can also be added to soups and stir fries.
Mizuna grows well in winter and spring, but can be succession-planted all year round. Plant little and often, every two weeks for continuous supply, 1cm deep. Space 2.5cm apart for cut-and-come-again salad or 20-25cm for whole plant production.
Frost resistant. In warmer months it should be watered regularly to prevent it going to seed too quickly. Can be sown directly or started in seedling trays.
