Cobra beans are the perfect bean for those who love a tasty green bean, but don’t have the room for dwarf French beans.
These space-saving climbers produce a wonderfully juicy, crisp and tasty round pod, often over 20cm long. They are prolific producers with a fast growth habit, so pick regularly.
Delicious fresh (try them in Asian green bean dishes - yum!), they can also be chopped, blanched and cooled quickly to freeze for winter feasts.
Plant in spring when the soil is warming and all risk of frosts has passed. Happy in a glasshouse or outdoors.
