Big Bunny's Buttercup Pumpkin

This medium-sized buttercup pumpkin makes great soups and roasties, being sweet and flavoursome.
I’ve grown this one from home-saved seeds for many years. I’m pretty sure early on it had a torrid affair with a Turk’s head pumpkin, resulting in a buttercup that has the tastiness of the original but keeps better.
Start the seeds indoors, in generous individual pots of potting mix and compost, 6-ish weeks before the last frost. Plant out once all risk of frosts has passed (or rush out and cover them if necessary!). Protect from slugs and blackbirds when small.
Pumpkins thrive with good sun, regular water, generous spacing (at least 90cm apart) and lots of compost.
