Swamp Kauri Corkscrew

This is a corkscrew / bottle-opener made from Swamp Kauri and chrome plated fittings.
As pictured, a nice simple corkscrew for opening your wine bottles etc.
The handles have a nice light brown straight grain with some light feathering coming through in different light.
A very sturdy and heavy piece, the bottle will break before this ever does.
Great for everyday use...so to speak.
I've left the finish natural with just a bit of oil rubbed in to protect it.

Swamp Kauri can be buried for anywhere between 800 to 60,000 years, with some of the trees being up to 2,000 years old when they fell.
