Bright greens and yellows, vivid pinks and mauves, with grey and offwhite lowlights, flow in an abstract design - a vague landscape, a hint of DNA helix (helices), a meandering wildflower garden. The colours represent aspects of my family origins: chartreuse shades of daffodils and leeks for Wales, purple and mauve of thistles and heather for Scotland.

Main colours: Purple, chartreuse, pink, grey

Method: Stitching art—mainly long stitch. A mixture of wools, silk and cottons with couching and long stitch on tapestry canvas; displayed in a simple white frame.

Fibres: Knitting wool, tapestry wool, tangled silk
Canvas: Tapestry canvas

Size: Framed 40 x 32 cm
Frame: White frame with silver coloured bevels, and white mat board
Display: Frame has hooks for hanging
