"Blue Hibiscus" Giclée fine art print of Original Fibre Art - Unframed
Gallery quality Giclée fine art print of Original Fibre Art "Blue Hibiscus", 30 x 30cm (unframed)
Printed on 300g, bright white, cotton rag-based water-resistant textured matte archival paper.
UNFRAMED print will come packaged in clear cellophane with detachable board backing to protect the print, and wrapped in a robust cardboard sleeve.
When I was a child, I used to love to draw all sorts of flowers, plucked from my imagination. Loosely based on the beauty found in creation, and yet of my own creation. These botanical flights of fancy are dedicated to the imaginings of the child in each one of us.
This unique artwork is created using layers of hand dyed merino wool fibre and details of silk fibre. It is then captured and reproduced using the highest quality printing techniques and materials.
The process used to create the artwork is not unlike that used to paint a conventional picture. Layers of colour are applied and then details carefully added. The difference being that the "paints" are wool and silk fibres and the artists hands are the brushes. At first glance, this print looks like a watercolour. Then, as you are drawn to look closer, the depth and shimmering colour become clearer and you find yourself soaking in every detail.
"Blue Hibiscus" is an eye catching artwork with great depth of colour and dimension. The capture of this type of fibre art is unique to Caroline Burton Fibre Artist and this piece is sure to draw comment wherever it is placed.
Print is shipped from my fine art printer within 1-2 business days of your order being placed.
