Silent Key necklace: vintage reproduction key pendant with crystal on gunmetal-black chain
An old key, dark with age, and a tiny, sparkling crystal hang together on gunmetal-black chain with textured links, forming a symbolic, secretive, vintage-inspired necklace.
The key is actually a reproduction of a vintage key. It is made of pewter and has been antiqued, to give it that timeworn feel. It slides freely on the chain by means of two interlocked, twisted, antiqued-silver coloured rings.
The crystal bead is semi hand-cut, so the facets are minutely irregular, adding extra character to this vintage-inspired necklace. It is wire-wrapped, and attached to one of the rings that hold the key. The necklace is reversible, so it can be worn with the key facing to either side; simply slide the crystal dangle around its ring until it falls on the other side of the key.
The necklace fastens with a high quality, gunmetal black, lobster-claw clasp.
The 'Silent Key' necklace measures approximately 53.7cm, including the lobster-claw clasp, while the key measures 35mm lengthwise and 16mm across at the bow. The crystal dangle is approximately 11mm long, including the wire-wrapped loop at its top.
