Velo Bracelet - The Mechanical

The Velo Mechanical is made from a heavily used bike chain. It has a bit of wear and looks a little grungy at the edges, just like most things mechanical and worn in. (Don't worry, everything gets very well cleaned prior to being turned into jewellery ;-)


It is 24mm wide, sizes are small/medium to fit wrist circumferences of around 15cm - 20cm, and medium/large 18cm - 23cm

Made, unexpectedly, from 100% reclaimed cycle inner tube and bike chain parts. We say unexpectedly because at first glance they are assumed to be leather, but not so.

The inner tube is surprisingly soft and pliable, and the bracelet only gets better with wear. It naturally becomes more supple, and the woven edges become buffed and smooth.

While seemingly a masculine style, we have had people of all genders and demographics purchase these at market. From 6ft plus burly blokes, to 5ft nothing tiny Japanese ladies, and many types in between, these seem to be universally admired by those wanting something eco conscious and planet/animal friendly.

As these bracelets are made from used bike chain and rubber tubes, there are wear marks and patina on all components. This makes each one a little different from the rest.*
